A Sparta motorcyclist was airlifted after a Monday evening accident.
31-year-old Cody James Parrish was traveling on Verble Sherril Road in Putnam County when he attempted to negotiate a curve. Parrish ran off the left side of the roadway and into trees.
Parrish was then airlifted to Skyline Medical Center with suspected serious injuries. According to Tennessee Highway Patrol, citations are pending.
