Livingston Rotary Club To Receive $10K Donation Through Make More Happen Award

A local insurance agency has been honored with the 2022 Make More Happen Award, earning $10,000 that will go to benefit the Livingston Rotary Club.

Tammy Mangrum is the past president of the club and the Commercial Manager for the Traci Willis Layne Agency. She said she first joined the club after moving back home and wanted to make a positive impact in the community.

“Rotary’s mission is to help others and starting at the local level,” Mangrum said. “Start at that local level and find things where you can do good.”

Mangrum said while the Rotary Club was initially started to help eradicate polio many years ago, it has transformed into something bigger. She said Livingston’s Rotary Club works a lot with the senior citizens in the community as well as helping teachers.

Mangrum said the achievement she’s most proud of with the Rotary Club was getting the first Remote Area Medical Clinic to the area. She said RAM clinics provide underserved communities with dental, medical and optical to those who don’t have health insurance and need that assistance.
