Livingston BZA Approves Variance For New Childcare Facility

The Livingston Board of Zoning Appeals approved a square footage variance to allow the development of a new childcare facility.

Chair Daniel Elder said codes require a 30,000 square foot lot size for development. Elder said the lot in question is only 23,000 square feet.

“The individual that was putting fourth the variance it was just a request to do a lot size variance,” Elder said. “He said it would be a two-story building, and I do know that the city of Livingston is in desperate need for daycares.”

The property is located at 105 Lee Dillon Road. Elder said the lot at this time is vacant with no developments on the land. Elder said a public hearing was held for the variance with no concerns expressed by citizens.
