$500K Bond For UHS Student Death Suspect

Bond set at $500,000 Wednesday for the man accused of giving an Upperman High School student drugs that led to her death.

Charles “Chuck” Carter Jr. appeared in the general sessions court Wednesday. He did not enter a plea. Carter admitted giving 15-year-old Olivia Daryl Taylor heroin. He also admitted to putting her body in a trash can. He later dumped the body on Overstreet Drive.

Carter faces charges of second-degree murder, aggravated statutory rape, and abuse of a corpse.

Carter just hired counsel. The next hearing set for February 15.
