Cookeville Cityscape Ornaments Made After Fairgrounds and Bobby Q’s

The new additions to the Cookeville Cityscape ornament collection are here.

Interim Executive Director Laura Wolf said this year the organization selected the Bobby Q’s logo and a figurine of the Putnam County Fairgrounds.

“Sights that are unique to Cookeville, and the fairgrounds we really wanted to do that before the fairgrounds is gone, because it’s going to go to a new location,” Wolf said. “We felt it important to highlight that this year.”

Wolf said the designs are selected by a committee formed by the board of directors. Wolf said the group tries to select staples of the community that are special to residents.

“I think the fairgrounds in all of the years that we have sold ornaments I believe it is my favorite one,” Wolf said.

Wolf said the ornaments will be for sale at the Mistletoe Market at the Leslie Town Centre Friday and Saturday. Wolf said after that, you can find the items across town including the Cookeville Cityscape office.

“People come to Mistletoe Market and that’s when we preview the big display, so people can see what the new ornament is going to be,” Wolf said. “They’ll say I have to buy six for all of my children. Every year we add to the collection. Some people have every single ornament since they started.”

Wolf said the ornaments by Cookeville Cityscape started over 20 years ago. Wolf said ornaments first started as glass by transitioned to metal over 10 years ago.
