Steady Turnout On Election Day As Polls Approach Closing Time


Election officials across the Upper Cumberland reporting steady turnout in the final hours before the polls close.

Impressive turnout according to White County election officials. Election Administrator Dorcas Marcum reported higher turnout than the previous two elections this year. In Putnam County, lines reported at some precincts Tuesday afternoon.

Cumberland County Election Administrator Jill Davis said voters are turning out Tuesday. Three people are running for the Crossville City Council among other state races.

“It’s been a very busy day with lines at almost all precincts,” Davis said.

In Van Buren County, turnout reported steady this afternoon. The Spencer mayor’s race has been one of the most discussed races in the region.
