A Gainesboro nurse has been recognized as the Nashville Caregiver of the Year.
Lindsey Woosley has been with Mabry Health for 14 years. She said she feels honored and humbled to have received the recognition.
“The best part of the job for me is seeing the smiles on my little residents’ faces when we do certain activities,” Woosley said. “And being able to help them as well as have relationships with them. You know, you see some of these people more than your own families.”
Woosley said a Caregiver of the Year is one who takes initiative and puts forth effort for their patients. She said that while there are certainly hard days, the good outweighs them.
Woosley said she’s always been a caregiver, starting from taking care of her brothers when she was young. Because of that, Woosley she’s always wanted to be a nurse and continue taking care of others.
