Adult And Teen Challenge UC Rudolph Run/Walk Saturday

Adult and Teen Challenge Upper Cumberland returning this Saturday with its inaugural Rudolph Run/Walk 5k.

Operations Director Cassandra Kite said the program helps women and girls deal with “life-controlling” issues, such as drug addiction, in a 12-month discipleship program. She said the proceeds for this year’s 5k will go to program scholarships.

“Sometimes they can’t afford it but it doesn’t mean we turn them away we still welcome them in,” Kite said. “So what this is going to do, it’s going to go directly to tuition and help these ladies pay that tuition that they’re unable to pay.”

Kite said they see a lot of need for this kind of financial assistance. She said their services are not limited to Livingston where the facility is located. Kite said they help those seeking treatment from all over the area.

Kite said in addition to helping fund scholarships, the event also brings the community together. She said Director Pastor Tina Green wanted to hold an event that would be able to get community interaction and showcase the campus.
