Crossville Native To Serve As State Military Dept.’s Senior Enlisted Leader


A Crossville native will now serve as the Tennessee Military Department’s Senior Enlisted Leader.

Command Sergeant Major Crockett will replace Command Chief Master Sgt. Kenneth Simmons upon his retirement. Prior to this appointment, Crockett served as the State Command Sergeant Major for the Tennessee Army National Guard.

Crockett’s military career spans the course of more than 30 years. He enlisted in the Tennessee National Guard in 1990 as a cavalry scout.
