The White County School Board approved its 2023-2024 school calendar Thursday night with minimal changes.
Director of Schools Kurt Dronebarger said the draft considered was selected by the majority of teachers.
Dronebarger said the main difference are two Saturday school dates for abbreviated days before Christmas and the end of the school year. Teachers selected that instead of coming back on Monday for a two-hour day.
The first day of school is August 4th with the last day on May 18th. Fall break happens the week of Columbus Day and the last full week of March is spring break
