Fentress IDB Working With USDA On Water Study

Fentress County currently working wiht the USDA to do a natural resource study on the county’s water supply.

Chamber of Commerce Director Jacob Rosenbaum said they are working to find out what needs the county has when it comes to potential utility infrastructure.

“So they are currently seeking bids to conduct the study from engineering firms,” Rosenbaum said.”And once they accept a bid, that engineering firm will conduct a study and we’ll be able to get those results once it’s concluded.”

Rosenbaum said they have been in this phase of the process for about four to five months. He said the study comes at no cost to the county.

Rosenbaum said the study will tell the county how much capacity it actually has, and whether or not it is sufficient for future growth.
