Putnam FD Responds To RV Fire In Western Part Of County

Putnam County Fire Department responded to a Monday evening call regarding a fully-involved RV fire.

Chief Tom Brown said the fire occurred on Fitzpatrick Road in the westernmost part of the county.

“It was plugged into a house, the shoreline was plugged into a house,” Brown said. “The owner said the power flashed a couple of times. When he started investigating, he found the RV on fire so he unplugged it from the house and called the fire department.”

Brown said the fire resulted in the total loss of the RV. He said there were no damages to the house itself and no injuries.

Brown said the official cause of the fire is still under investigation.
