Crossville Man Faces Gun Charges In Connection With Tuesday Shooting

The husband of a Crossville woman faces gun charges after his wife was shot Tuesday night.

TBI Special Agents have charged 39-year-old Donald Wayne Jackson with one count of Unlawful Carrying or Possession of a Firearm. Jackson has a felony criminal history and cannot possess firearms.

The investigation continues after Jackson’s wife, 52-year-old Terri Loretta Pitton, died of a gunshot wound Tuesday night. Authorities responded to the home in the 700 block of Brown Road just after 11pm Tuesday.

Jackson booked into the Cumberland County Jail on $20,000 bond. The investigation continues into who fired the fatal shot. Both the TBI and the Cumberland County Sheriffs Department are working the case.
