A problem at the Livingston Water Treatment Plant Tuesday morning has led city officials to issue a Boil Water Advisory.
Mayor Curtis Hayes said residents should boil water until further notice.
Hayes said residents may also notice low water pressure and a lack of water. He said officials are trying to determine the exact nature of the issue and are trying to fix the problem.
The CDC recommends using bottled water during a Boil Water Advisory. If bottled water is not available, the CDC recommends bringing water to a full rolling boil for one minute. Water that is filtered should also be boiled. The CDC also said water from appliances should not be used.
