TDOT Extends $125K In Grant Money To Remove Airport Fuel Tanks

TDOT has awarded the Upper Cumberland Regional Airport an additional $125,000 to remove the old underground fuel tank on the site.

The state had previously awarded the airport a separate grant to install new tanks. Airport Manager Dean Selby said TDOT Aeronautics amended the grant to pay for both parts.

Selby said the old tanks are roughly 25 years old.

The new grant money does not include any match.
