With multiple traumas over the last few weeks, Blood Assurance Cookeville is seeking donations on O-positive blood.
As of Monday, Blood Assurance had about a one-day supply on its shelves. O-positive is the most common, with 38 percent of the population having that blood type.
To encourage donations, all type-O donors who give double red cells through the end of the month will receive a $50 digital gift card. Additionally, any type-O donor who has given blood since May 1 will get the same gift card if they come back and donate now
