Zavala Named Cookeville High Dean Of Students

Claudia Zavala has been named Cookeville High School’s Dean of Students.

Zavala has served 19 years at the school, in the role of Spanish teacher, Vital Lab Facilitator and Assistant Principal. She takes over for Karen Trentham who is serving as Cookeville High School Interim Principal.

“I am most excited about working with students, faculty, families, and the community to foster a positive school environment that supports students’ academic achievements and well-being while creating an atmosphere where students are proud to be a part of the Cookeville Cavalier community as much as I am,” Zavala said.

Trentham said last week the school planned to interview for the assistant principal position.
