Gainesboro city employees will receive a $1,000 bonus.
Alderman Ricky Head proposed the bonus and its amount. He said employees wanted the bonus to be decided on before December arrives.
“Well it’s right around the corner, obviously. They didn’t get – y’all didn’t as much last year as you normally do,” Head said. “But I mean it’s just like I said we always try to give one because you don’t make a whole lot throughout the year. But I was just going to bring it up for how much we was going to give this year if we have it in the budget to give.”
A total of 18 full-time city employees will receive the bonus.
