Alleged Road Rage Incident Leads To Cookeville Arrest


An arrest made following an apparent road rage incident in the area of Cookeville’s 7th Street and North Walnut Avenue Tuesday night.

30-year-old Chaz Colton Miller of Cookeville charged with ten counts of Reckless Endangerment, a class C Felony. Miller being held on $150,000 bond.

Police responded to the Crepe and Creme Shop around 6:30pm Tuesday night, where a bullet had traveled through a window. The business was open, with customers and employees inside. As police searched, they found Miller near the Marc L. Burnett Student Recreation and Fitness Center.

The preliminary investigation found Miller shot toward the business as the result of a road rage incident.

Tennessee Tech officials notified students of the threat, providing the all clear around 7:30pm.
