Traffic slowed in Livingston Thursday night after a high-speed pursuit down Highway 111 ended in a crash.
Traffic backed up at West Main Street near Advanced Auto Parts. Emergency officials said the incident began in Algood, when officers stopped a car on a traffic stop. The suspect gunned the car and fled. A high speed pursuit followed down Highway 111 with multiple law enforcement involved.
The chase ended in Livingston on Highway 111 when the suspect crashed. Mayor Curtis Hayes said a Livingston Police Cruiser was damaged at the conclusion of the chase. Hayes said the vehicle t-boned and damaged significantly.
No one injured, according to emergency officials. No word on the alleged suspect’s identity or the nature of the traffic stop.
