Overton County has elected Tim Kennedy as the new highway superintendent with 46.27% of the votes.
The county also saw Melissa Savage narrowly beat Wayne Taylor with 52.79% of the votes for the school board’s district 2 seat. Jennifer Ledbetter lost the race for the school board’s district 5 seat to Ben Danner, who received 58.21% of the votes.
In the race for highway superintendent, David McDonald came runner-up with 30.64% and Darwin Clark took third with 23.05%.
