Voter turnout was lower than anticipated across the Upper Cumberland Thursday.
Tommy Frady was elected as Van Buren County Commissioner for District 3 with 60% of the vote over Rip Van Winkle.
Fentress County’s School Board sees Lee Little as the Board Member for District 4 with 58% of the vote over Melissa Branstetter. Bobbie Jo Kirby received 59% of the vote to defeat Richmond Smith for the seat of District 5 Board Member.
Elizabeth Boles is now a Clay County Commissioner for District 5 after receiving 98% of the votes.
Angie Thompson was elected as Clay County Trustee with 78% of the votes. Angie Eads saw 99% of the vote to remain Assessor of Property in Clay.
Mark Ashlock and Nick Melton will represent District 1 on the Clay County School Board, with Ashlock getting 52% of the vote.
Benjamin Bailey and Vonda Weir will return to their seats on Clay County School Board for District 4. Bailey received 53% of the votes in that race.
