Baxter Aldermen approved a $1.87 million contract Monday night to begin a new sewer system rehabilitation project.
The approval came during a special called meeting. The contract with Portland Utilities Construction involved repairs throughout the system to fix issues and improve efficiency throughout the system. It is part of Baxter’s ongoing work to expand its water and sewer facilities.
The total construction contract for this work: $1,874,955.48.
