The section of Dodson Branch Road near Garrison Road was blocked off on Wednesday due to a brush fire.
The Putnam County Fire Department responded to the fire around 1:30pm. Firefighter Kevin Asher said the fire was in the ditch line in two different spots across the road from the Lazy G Ranch.
Asher said the fire was not severe and was put out within 30 minutes. Asher said Monday’s rainfall may have helped in preventing the fire from spreading quickly. Asher said the cause of the fire is still unknown.
