Sparta Music Artist Gaining Popularity For Unique Music

A Sparta musician gaining popularity online with his unique style of music.

Christopher Ake said his songs are more about sounds than they are lyrics that lead listeners to think differently. Ake said he calls his style of music “Unmusic”.

“I think of an idea, and I think of an emotion or some sort of concept I want to get across,” Ake said. “And then I produce the track until I feel like it can portray that in an auditory way.”

Ake said his online popularity has grown to 18,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. Ake said he has loved music his whole life. Ake said when he began making music three years ago, he never knew he would see such a quick rise in his online presence.

“I knew for a fact that I was going to publish music, but I had no idea people would be interested,” Ake said. “Especially, my biggest song has 1.5 million streams, and I never expected anything to get that big.”

Ake said his newly released album, called “The Better Place” would be classified as more indie music.

“I had about half of the album recorded, and I sat there for weeks trying to figure out what I could title this collection of songs,” Ake said. “And I eventually came up with the album cover, and it looks very otherworldly, and that made me think of an idea called “The Better Place”.

Ake’s new album, “The Better Place,” can be found on any of the major audio streaming platforms.
