A fatal house fire in Overton County that killed two children Saturday remains under investigation by the TBI.
The fire took place in the 200 block of Railroad Street in Livingston. The fire injured eight other individuals in the household. Livingston Fire Chief Rocky Dial said the investigation has not yet revealed what caused the fire.
Dial said there is no new information at this time.
Dial said three fire trucks and over 20 firefighters responded to the scene. Dial said it took firefighters two and a half hours to put out the blaze.
Dial said one firefighter was sent to the hospital for minor burns. Dial said the firefighter received the burns while rescuing the individuals from the fire.
According to the Upper Cumberland Foster Closet, the house belonged to a foster family.
