Sparta Mayor Jerry Lowery asking Aldermen to consider the city’s sign ordinance, after multiple complaints in recent weeks.
Lowery said he wants to bring the issue up for discussion in a future work session. He have Aldermen a copy of the current rules.
“To take it, study it, look at it, talk to your constituents, talk to people out in town, talk to business owners and stuff, and we’ll probably come together in a work session after the first of the year and look at this a little bit more in-depth,” Lowery said.
Lowery said he would also share some of the complaints and issues that have arisen in recent weeks.
“I just wanted you all to look at that and see if you can come up with anything that would work better for the future of the city of Sparta,” Lowery said.
