Putnam School Board Approves Bonuses For Employees

The Putnam County School Board approved incentive bonuses for half-time and full-time employees of the school system.

The bonuses will come from the state’s estimated $80 million fiscal year 2026 TISA Outcome payment fund. $750 incentive bonuses will go to all full-time employees, while $375 bonuses will be given to all half-time employees who are actively employed as of Jan. 5, 2026.

Incentive funding was based on 573 elementary students who scored “meets expectations” or “exceeds expectations” on the third-grade English Language Arts comprehensive test or those who “demonstrate Significant Growth” on the fourth-grade ELA TCAP. 242 middle school students who scored well on the eighth-grade ELA or Math TCAP, and 574 high school students who scored at least a 21 on the ACT and earned two early post-secondary opportunity credits.

The data used to determine the funds comes from the previous school year. Putnam County received an estimated $1.4 million from the state’s total $80 million fund.
