The Basketball Coaches Association of Tennessee announced their class finalists for Girls and Boys Player of the Year Thursday morning.
Three Upper Cumberland players were named as finalists in Class 3A. White County Warriorette Gracie Clark, Upperman Lady Bee Gracie Butler, and Cumberland County Lady Jet Sydney Wilhite were named as finalists for Player of the Year. Wilhite is one of three players who was also named finalist for Miss Basketball in her class.
Cookeville Lady Cavaliers Cara Lee Gilbert was nominated as one of six finalists for Class 4A.
Upperman Bee Ty Cobb was named as the lone representative of the boys for Class 3A. Cobb is also seeking his second straight Mr. Basketball award in the class.
The award winners are expected to be revealed in the spring.
