A Boil Water Advisory will remain in effect for many areas of Monterey and surrounding areas after a broken waterline Sunday.
Crews completed repairs on the 12-inch waterline Sunday. However, the Boil Water Advisory is a precautionary measure to ensure water safety.
It is in effect until further notice for the northern area of Monterey, Hanging Limb Highway, the Anderson area, Lake Hill Road and areas around Highway 164.
The advisory means water should be brought to a rolling boil before it is used for drinking or eating.
If you were without water Sunday morning, you should consider the advisory in effect, according to officials.
