A new era is on the horizon for the DeKalb County High School Lady Tigers basketball program, as the team prepares for a leadership transition ahead of the 2026–27 season.
After four seasons at the helm, head coach Brandy Alley has stepped down from her coaching role. Alley will continue to serve the school in the classroom as a science teacher.
The program now turns its focus toward the future, with an active search underway for both a new head coach and an assistant coach. According to a listing posted through the TSSAA website, the school is seeking a head girls basketball coach with a strong emphasis on fundamentals. Both certified faculty members and non-faculty applicants are encouraged to apply, with potential teaching positions still to be determined.
In addition to the head coaching vacancy, DeKalb County High School is also looking to fill an assistant girls basketball coaching position.
A decision is reportedly expected to be made over the next few weeks.
