The White County Sheriff’s Department discovered what appear to be human skeletal remains after responding to a call Sunday in the Bon Air community.
The White County Sheriff’s Department said the remains have not been identified at this time. Officers responded to a call for service. Upon arrival, they found what appear to be the remains.
The White County Sheriff’s Department said the incident brought a significant law enforcement presence to the Bon Air area.
“Due to the nature of the discovery, a large police presence was necessary as investigators conducted a thorough grid search of the surrounding area to locate any additional evidence,” the White County Sheriff’s Department said.
The investigation continues.
