TVA has scheduled a six-hour planned power outage in Jackson County starting Saturday night to conduct infrastructure maintenance.
Crews will replace poles during the scheduled window. The work is intended to address necessary maintenance for the area power grid.
The outage will begin Saturday at 11pm. The power is expected to be restored by Sunday at 5am.
Affected areas include Big Bottom, Indian Creek, York Hwy, Celina Hwy, Jennings Creek, New Salem, and Gladdice Hwy. Other communities listed include McCoinsville RD, Hayden Burg, SR 85, Free State, Gainesboro, parts of Granville Hwy, and possibly Cubb Hollow.
