Rose Begins Statewide Election Push In Cookeville Saturday

Gubernatorial candidate John Rose will launch his Tennessee True Tour with a kickoff event in Cookeville Saturday.

The campaign initiative will feature town halls and opportunities for the candidate to work alongside residents from Mountain City to Memphis. The tour marks the first event of its kind in the Republican primary campaign for governor.

“The Tennessee True Tour showcases what makes this state strong,” Rose said.

The tour kickoff will take place on Saturday at the Lazy G Ranch in Cookeville. Voters can attend the morning event by submitting an RSVP online, the press release said.

“As an eighth-generation Tennessean, who is raising the ninth-generation, I care deeply about protecting that way of life,” Rose said.

Rose plans to spend time on the job with working residents to understand their daily challenges. He will also use the town halls to hear directly from voters about their priorities, the press release said.

“I think about the kind of Tennessee we’re leaving to the next generation and whether we do our part to stand strong for our state and our country,” Rose said.

Rose announced his candidacy for governor on March 20, 2025, at the site of the Tennessee State Fair in Wilson County. Since entering the race, he has traveled to all 95 counties to earn support across the state, the press release said.

“That’s why I’m running for Governor,” Rose said.

The former Commissioner of Agriculture has grounded his campaign in faith, family, and freedom while pledging to grow the economy and make investments in schools, infrastructure, and healthcare, the press release said.
