Derrick Hutchings and Becky Golden will fill two vacancies on the White County Beer Board.
Two commissioners resigned from the board last month, upset about other commissioners not changing the rules on the proximity of an establishment selling beer. The board wanted to change the rules in the middle of a discourse about an applicant.
Golden was one of the two, but she reconsidered and rejoined the board after a Nominating Committee vote.
“I know this is a short stint for a very few months, but I’d be willing to accept but we would need to meet evenings in the afternoons,” Hutchings said. “The only problem I have with the nomination is I can’t meet during business hours because I work out of town.”
