Two Nashville Men Arrested For Meth Distribution On I-40

Two men face drug charges after Putnam County Sheriff’s Office deputies discovered approximately two pounds of methamphetamine during a traffic stop on Interstate 40.

Tynerick Dewon Turner of Nashville and Arhson Dejun Jackson of Madison were both charged with the manufacture, delivery and sell of methamphetamine. Each man has a bond set at $55,000.

Deputies stopped a white Nissan sedan for failing to maintain its lane and having illegal window tint. The traffic stop resulted in the seizure of the narcotics and thousands of dollars in cash. Deputies noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle after making contact with the driver.

K9 Tuco conducted an open-air sniff around the car, the press release said. K9 Tuco positively indicated on the vehicle for the presence of illegal narcotics.

A search of the vehicle revealed the methamphetamine along with $3,066 of United States currency. Both occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody and transported to the Putnam County Jail.
