Overton County Executive Austin Dodson said the exact timeline for the closure of the INOAC plant remains a question mark.
Dodson said local officials are deploying resources to help those employees impacted.
“My office along with the City and Chamber have sent over Workforce Development to work with these employees to make sure these workers that will be dislocated will have an opportunity to help find them employment and assist them in that transition process,” Dodson said.
Dodson said more than 200 workers impacted by the closing. The displaced employees will have access to job placement services and transition assistance through the coordinated effort.
“The timing keeps changed, I was told February, but keep hearing different times it is going to change,” Dodson said.
The company “develops and produces functional products using polyurethane, rubber, plastics, and composites,” according to its website.
