Mike Turner and Danny Wyatt captured the two open seats on the Crossville City Council Tuesday, while Melinda Kelsey won the race to fill an unexpired council term.

Unofficial totals from eight voting locations show Turner leading the four-candidate race with 1,259 votes, followed by Wyatt with 1,239. Robbie Poore finished third with 1,013 votes, while Greg Wood received 765.

Kelsey led the separate race for the unexpired term with 1,200 votes. Kristopher Cole finished second with 796 votes, followed by Louis Morrison with 363.

Turner and Wyatt finished just 20 votes apart in the regular council race. Both candidates received strong support at the Cumberland County Community Complex and Cornerstone voting locations.

At the Community Complex, Turner received 637 votes, followed by Wyatt with 557. Cornerstone voters favored Wyatt with 525 votes, while Turner received 509.

Kelsey carried six of the eight voting locations outright in the unexpired-term race, including 540 votes at the Community Complex and 523 at Cornerstone. Cole received 371 votes at the Community Complex and 342 at Cornerstone.

The council races appeared on the same ballot as Crossville’s water referendum, which voters rejected by a margin of 1,692 to 1,188 in the eight reported voting locations.

Results remain unofficial pending confirmation of the complete election totals.
