Pickett High Bathroom Renovations To Begin This Summer

Pickett County Director of Schools Diane Elder said renovations to the Pickett County High School bathrooms will begin this summer.

Elder told the Pickett County School Board Monday night the company doing the renovations will do camera work on the bathrooms during Spring Break. Elder said the renovations will include new stalls and plumbing for the three halls in the school and the gym. Elder said she hopes the bathroom renovations can be completed by the start of the next school year.

In other business, the school board approved a budget amendment to spend an estimated $8,000 to replace a utility truck. Elder said the Innovative School Models grant will pay for the truck and that the truck is a budgeted item.

The board approved the FFA program to attend the Washington Leader Conference.

The board approved the second reading on the background and investigation and promotion and retention policies.
