Warren County guard Corban Felton officially started his senior year.
Felton said he has played basketball since he was two years old. At five years old, Felton entered a junior league and has played competitive basketball ever since. Felton said he has learned to build a team mindset throughout his career.
“[My favorite part of being a point guard is] definitely getting my teammates involved, making a good pass,” Felton said. “Cause I mean, it may look good for them but it makes me feel accomplished that, you know, our team’s involved, and getting the whole team involved, it feels like the whole team’s doing what we do.”
Corban Felton will be one of six seniors on the Pioneers team next season. He has played point guard for Warren County. Felton said sharing the basketball is key if Warren County wants to improve.
“I was never the biggest person so I always had to figure a way to score on my own or get other people involved,” Felton said. “But that’s what I do now, is just get other people involved and attract all the attention, get everybody else [involved.]”
Felton said it feels like he never left playing at the Dalt.
“It’s really exciting,” Felton said. “I’m just glad to be back with the guys. It’s been a while since we’ve been together and I’m really excited.”
Warren County will be traveling across the Upper Cumberland for camps and practices. They will also be playing summer games as well.
