Crossville Council To Review Wage Study, Projects Tuesday

Crossville City Council will review employee wage studies, major infrastructure projects, and long-range planning items during a work session Tuesday.

The agenda shows council members will meet at City Hall for a quarterly work session focused on discussion and updates rather than formal votes. The session includes a mix of financial planning, public safety projects, and utility system improvements.

Council will begin with a presentation on the city’s wage rate study, followed by discussion of wage rates for the Police and Fire Departments. Those conversations are expected to guide future budget considerations.

Members will also hear a presentation on the impact of tourism. That discussion will center on how visitor activity affects city operations and revenue planning.

Public safety and economic development projects are also on the agenda. Council will receive updates on Fire Station 1 and the Interchange Drive Spec Building.

Financial planning will continue with discussion of the proposed Fiscal Year 2026-27 budget. That item gives council an opportunity to review projections and priorities ahead of the next budget cycle.

Infrastructure remains a significant focus of the work session. Council will discuss the Dunbar Road sewer study and sewer plant upgrades, along with a presentation on the Interstate Drive Traffic Corridor Study.

Members will also review the Meadow Park Lake dam project timeline and associated costs. The agenda includes discussion of the format for the City Manager evaluation.

The work session will conclude with updates on Codes Department open cases, reports from the City Manager, and a planned site visit to Fire Station #2.
