A four-month investigation into the distribution of methamphetamine and fentanyl concluded Tuesday morning with the arrest of a suspect at a home on Baxter Road.
Deputies arrested Porter Conrad Vance after the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division executed a state narcotics search warrant in the 6000 block of Baxter Road with assistance from the SWAT team and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. Sheriff Eddie Farris addressed the multi-agency effort that located four adults at the residence.
“This is the result of months of dedicated work by our Narcotics Division,” Farris said. “We will remain proactive in identifying those who are distributing illegal narcotics in Putnam County.”
Authorities charged Vance with manufacturing, delivering, and selling Schedule I and II drugs, along with multiple weapons offenses, evidence tampering, simple possession, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Officials said the charges stem from a long-term investigation into narcotics distribution in the area.
Vance remains in custody with a bond set at $623,500. He is scheduled to appear in court on March 4, 2026.
