Zachary Murray took home the top faculty honor for the technical college sector after advancing through the regional levels. The student, faculty and staff award recipients receive cash prizes for their achievements.

The College System of Tennessee honored outstanding students, faculty, staff, philanthropists, partners and volunteers of the year during the ceremony on Thursday, March 5. The event followed weeks of regional judging that selected finalists across the state for the individual honors.

The annual event recognizes individuals who make profound impacts on the college system foundation and honors innovative collaborations among colleges and businesses. The ceremony also highlighted military veterans and active-duty personnel within the campus communities.

The two days of events included a student honors luncheon recognizing academic team members and national technical honor society students from across the system. Students and presidents also visited with legislators and officials in the State Capitol prior to the awards dinner.
