Putnam County saw strong construction numbers in March, generating nearly $13 million across 39 total permits.
The monthly figures reflect building activity strictly within the county limits and exclude data from the municipalities. The total construction value for the year currently stands at more than $25.5 million.
A total of 39 permits issued for $12.8 million in construction. 27 of those permit were for new single-family homes.”
The county issued three commercial permits during the month, accounting for $2.8 million of the total valuation. The total number of permits issued in the first three months of the year reached 100.
In comparison, March 2025 had 24 permits for $5.5 million with 16 of those being new single-family homes.
The county has recorded $25,550,336 in total construction amounts through the first quarter of the year.
