A Mobile Disaster Recovery Center will open in Celina the week of May 18th to provide Clay County storm survivors with in-person help for federal disaster assistance.
The center will be located at 145 Cordell Hull Drive in Celina. The mobile sites are designed to give this winter’s storm survivors direct access to federal disaster assistance, according to Friday’s FEMA release.
“The centers will allow residents to apply for FEMA Individual Assistance, check the status of applications, resolve issues, and connect with additional recovery resources,” the press release said.
Operating hours for the mobile sites will run Monday through Saturday from 7am to 7pm. Assistance may help cover temporary housing, home repairs, replacement of essential personal property, and other disaster-related expenses.
Clay County is among several counties where eligible residents can receive FEMA Individual Assistance. The mobile centers aim to transition services from earlier intake locations.
