A final change order approved for Cookeville’s Henley Drive roadway extension project, with the work finished 52 days ahead of schedule.
Public Works Director Mary Beth Elrod said the original contract for the project was set for 150 days. Elrod said the city requested the contractor stripe the entirety of Henley Drive from Jefferson to Bunker Hill rather than just the project limits. Mack said the city also asked for a ditch adjacent to the project to be rip-rapped despite it not being in the original contract.
“So that is an additional cost of $13,521.20,” Elrod said. “That will put the final contract price of this project at $547,500.20, and I do recommend your approval of this change order.”
Council also approved the purchase of new trash trucks. That includes one side-load sanitation truck, one front-load sanitation truck, and one dumpster truck.
