An 11-year old juvenile died Thursday afternoon when an off-road vehicle flipped and trapped the child.
The accident happened just before 6pm Thursday night on Rushing Springs Road. According to a preliminary report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the Polaris R40 was travelling southbound. As the driver negotiated a right-hand turn, the vehicle slid. It overturned and trapped the child underneath.
The child died from the injuries.
The identity of the child not released.
